Celeste McCreight, 78, of Dublin passed away peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Wife of the late Matthew McCreight. Mother of Bill McCreight and Bev of Perth, Jim McCreight of Mitchell, Ruth McCreight-Paton and Gord of Sharon, and Vicky Harvey and Ken of The Netherlands. Grandmother of Josh, Michael and Kate McCreight; Joe, Leanna Kelly and Craig, Alicia Hinz and Jeff, and James McCreight; David and Jonathan Paton. Sister of Maureen Denomme of Newmarket. Sister-in-law of Elizabeth MacSween of Kincardine, Doris Kiteley of Goderich and Mervyn McCreight of B.C.
Predeceased by her parents William and Catherine Costello, brothers Sylvester, Jim (Grace) and Bert (Doreen) Costello, sisters Ursula Rennick (Mike), Aileen Chisholm (Tom), Bernadine Thompson (Dr. Guy Thompson) and brother-in-law Bob Dennome.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dublin on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Audrey Cole, age 90, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on December 17, 2012. Audrey was born in Downie Township, daughter of the late David and Vennetta Schellenberger. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Cole who predeceased her December 9, 2000. Loving mother of James Cole (Brenda), Diane Shaw and Patricia Robinson. Grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Lois Easum and Joyce Hunt. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Fred Cole (Sadie), Harold Cole (Alberta), Ethel Davis, Violet Cook (Ralph) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a daughter Lori Curzon, a grandson Jason Curzon, sons-in-law Ronald Shaw and Douglas Robinson, brothers Harry, Earl, Leo and Donald Schellenberger and a sister Jean Wilker. Marion Lauretta Kalbfleisch, age 92, of 40 Long Dr., Stratford passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Stratford she was the eldest daughter of the late George E. and Laura C. (Rudolph) Forbeck. Marion received her early education in Stratford, graduating from the Stratford Normal School in 1939. Her teaching career included positions in Harmony, Hamilton and Anne Hathaway Public School, Stratford. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stratford where she was baptized, confirmed and united in marriage to Henry Kalbfleisch on September 7, 1946. Henry predeceased her on November 19, 2008. She was a charter member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, a member of the Bethany Club, served on the Alter Guild, attended Lifelight Bible class and was a founding member of the Lively Lutherans. Marion was also a charter member of the Inner Wheel of the Stratford Rotary Club. Henry and Marion travelled extensively and her Christian faith was quite evident in the countless visits she made to the sick, shut-ins and elderly-always taking treats from her kitchen. Dear mother of George Kalbfleisch and wife Sandy of Stratford and Anne Kalbfleisch and husband Paul Hossack of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Lynn-Ann Kalbfleisch spouse Jay VanMiddelkoop & son Joshua Atchison, Jodi Kalbfleisch, Stephanie & Julia Hiscock and Michael Hossack. Dear sister of Jean Simpson & husband Charles, Kitchener and Ferne Cunningham & husband Don of Stratford. Marion is survived by brother-in-law Bruce Shivas of Stratford, brother-in-law Karl Wittig of Tavistock and sister-in-law Elva Forbeck of Hamilton. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles, Ken and Richard Forbeck, sister Ruth Shivas and sister-in-law Marie Wittig. Marion was also predeceased by great-grandson Nicholas Atchison(stillborn). Visitation will be held at the James A. Rutherford Funeral Home, 156 Albert St., Stratford on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Stratford on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Timothy Teuscher will officiate. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. Ruby Irene Brickman (Wilhelm), age 84, passed away peacefully at Cedarcroft Place, Stratford with family by her side on December 13, 2012.
Born at home in East Zorra, Tavistock, February 17, 1928, daughter of the late Aaron Wilhelm and Mary Kenyon.
Ruby worked at the shirt factory and K-Mart in Stratford. She was a former member of Lingelbach Church. Predeceased by husband Carl Andrew Brickman (1992). Loving mother of Julie Culver (Mark), Port Dover and Robert Brickman (Marilyn) of Avonton. She will be missed by her grandchildren Andy, Reeanna and Matthew Brickman. Dear sister of Lillian Hausfchild, Eldon (Doreen) Wilhelm, Russell (Anne) Wilhelm, Verna (Wray) Roth and Gordon Wilhelm. Also survived by brothers in law and sisters in law Lila Wilhelm, Allen Blane, Merle Brickman, Glen and Audrey Brickman, Dan and Joan Brickman, Shirley and Roy Feltz and many nieces and nephews.
