Needles, Ann Marie

Ann Marie Needles (nee Henderson)

July 7, 1923 – March 11, 2013

The Needles family is very saddened to announce the passing of their matriarch.

Mom was predeceased by the love of her life Myron (Buddy) whom she met on a blind date while training as a nurse at Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto. First came love, then came marriage, then came Buddy pushing a baby carriage... and again, and again...  Mom made home a blessed and happy place for her eight children. The first four were born in Ohio, living in Hamilton, Chillicothe and Springfield but Mom's homesickness culminated in a move to Stratford where the last four were born.

While Mom called us her "cherubs" it was her love and faith that saw us through the thick and the thin of life's ebbs and flows. She had the ability to find the best in everybody. Mom was a dedicated to her community and was a member of St. Joseph's Church. She and Dad kept close contact with many friends from many associations they made in their life together.

The family is appreciative for the care Mom received in her final days at Stratford General Hospital. Anne Marie's children are Mary Ann (Bob Dempsey), Beth (Les Pulchinski), Bill – deceased (Nano), Patrick – deceased, Mike (Anna Marie), Charles (Kathy), Diane Snider, George (Susan). Her 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren have the assurance that she will now be with her Lord for eternity and that she will "join her boys".

A private family service will take place at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, March 16, 2013.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society through the funeral home. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
