Police Locate Tim Bosma’s Body

Tim Bosma is dead.

The 32-year-old Hamilton man with connections to the Clinton area, disappeared last Monday when he took two other men for a test drive in the pickup truck he was trying to sell.

Hamilton Police confirmed today at a press conference that they have located Bosma's body and made an arrest in the case.

Hamilton Police Chief Glenn De Caire thanked the public for its assistance in the investigation.

Chief De Caire offered his condolences to Bosma's family.

He vows to see the investigation through to completion.

Anyone with information about the Bosma case is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Road Closure this Friday in Stratford

Simcoe Street in Stratford Downie Street to Morgan Street will be closed this Friday, May 17th.

The closure will run from 8:15am to 3:15pm to accommodate Anne Hathaway Public School's Track & Field Day.

Adjust your driving routes accordingly.

With cottage season fast approaching, Hydro One is reminding everyone to be vigilant about electrical safety.

Many local residents will be out of town for the long weekend.

Before heading up to the cottage, customers should plan ahead and use Hydro One's free mobile app on smart phones and tablet devices.

This will allow them to check the status of power outages anywhere in Hydro One's service area.

For customers heading up to the cottage for the first time this season, there can be a lot to do, especially if the cottage was closed during the winter.

Companion Cat Campaign at Stratford-Perth Humane Society

If you've been looking for a fury feline friend, you can have two!

The Stratford-Perth Humane Society is holding a 'Buy One Get One for $10' cat sale from May 1st to September 1st.

The Companion Cat Campaign is a response to the spring and summer season which brings a flood of cats and kittens to the local Humane Society.

Adopting one or two as pets makes room for other cats needing to be rescued.

The Stratford-Perth Humane Society is at 345 Douro Street in Stratford.

Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles in Mitchell

Police have warned local residents over and over again to lock their vehicles when they're not using them.

But that message still isn't sinking in.

On Friday morning, the Perth County OPP in Mitchell was contacted by four West Perth residents.

Three unlocked vehicles were entered sometime between 10:30pm last Thursday at 7:00am on Friday.

The vehicles were parked at residences on Toronto Street East in Mitchell.

The items stolen included a Dell 15 inch laptop computer, a "Sonim" hard cased cell phone, a leather case containing photographs and an expensive cigar.

Residents are urged to remove valuables from their vehicles and to lock them.

Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
