Cullitons Fall 3-2 to the Sugar Kings

The Stratford Cullitons lost another heart breaker Friday night at the William Allman Arena.

They fell 3-2 to the Elmira Sugar Kings in a shootout.

Ryker Killins and Shane O'Brien scored in regulation time while Andrew Barton scored in the shootout but it wasn't enough.

Nick Caldwell took the loss in net.

The Cullitons are next in action Sunday night when they host the Listowel Cyclones at 7:30pm.

1240 CJCS will carry the game live beginning at 7:25pm.

Support Group in Milverton

Victim Services of Perth County is hosting a support forum in Milverton.

The drop-in forum is informal and is aimed at providing a compassionate environment for all those affected by the shooting in Milverton that put Tyler Baker in the hospital and took Nicole Wagler's life.

The service is confidential and is being provided free of cost.

The Milverton Community Support forum takes place Sunday, December 9th from 1pm-4pm in the Upper Auditorium at the Perth East Recreation Complex.

Northwestern Students Wear Blue to Honour Wagler

Students at Northwestern continue to mourn the loss of Nicole Wagler.

As a show of both their grief and support, students wore bright blue articles of clothing Thursday, the same colour as Nicole's eyes.

Tyler Baker, the other victim of this senseless tragedy, remains in a London Hospital fighting for his life.

Schweitzer Appears in Court

Michael Schweitzer made an appearance in Stratford Court this morning by video.

The 23-year-old Milverton man is accused of the first degree murder of 17-year-old Nicole Wagler and the attempted murder of 22-year-old Tyler Baker.  Schweitzer was calm and collected during his discussion with the judge.

Schweitzer's case was adjourned until December 20th so that his lawyer could have more time to prepare.

Day Camp this Monday for Elementary School Students

The City of Stratford will lend a hand to parents next week.

The Elementary Teacher's Federation of Ontario will begin revolving strikes at Avon Maitland District School Board schools on Monday.

The City plans to assist students and parents in providing a day camp on December 10th for children ages 4-13.

The camp will offer crafts, games, active fun, and free extended hours.

School Crossing Guards in Stratford will be at their usual locations on Monday to perform their regular duties.
