Stratford Northwestern Secondary School competed at the OFSAA Regional West Track and Field Championships at The University of Windsor on Friday and Saturday.
The Huskies had 12 athletes competing at the extremely competitive regional meet in 15 events.
The top 4 finishers in each event qualified for the OFSAA Championships next week in Brockville.
Northwestern qualified an impressive three individual athletes for OFSAA.
NWSS OFSAA Qualifiers (top 4 at Regionals) Include: (These athletes will compete next Friday and Saturday in Brockville)
Andrew Taphorn - 3'rd in the Midget Boys Shot-Put - 13.28 metres (personal best and Northwestern Record). Andrew also placed a close 6'th in the discus - 39.58 metres.
Jamie Simpson - 3'rd in the Midget Girls Discus - 28.05 metres (personal best and Northwestern Record). Jamie also placed 9'th in the javelin - 26.27 metres
Brett Jutzi - 4'th in the Senior Girls Shot Put - 10.92 metres

Mark Schmidt - 7'th - Junior Boys 3000 metres - 9:36.94 minutes. Mark also placed 9'th in the 1500 metres - 4:25.65 minutes.
John Bice - 7'th - Junior Boys Pole Vault - 2.90 metres
Ben Congram - 8'th - Junior Boys Pole Vault - 2.90m (personal best)
Andrew Dunsmore - 8'th - Midget Boys Pole Vault - 2.60m (personal best)
