They lost 5-2 to the Nationals.

On Saturday, December 22nd local grocery stores will each be giving out "Safe and Healthy Food" packages to the first 200 customers.

Each package consists of:

• a reusable, insulated grocery bag

• a plastic cutting board

• information on how to safely prepare and store food

• fun stickers for kids

• helpful information on healthy eating.

The packages will be distributed at the cash register, ready to use for bagging your fresh or frozen foods.

This campaign is a partnership between the Perth District Health Unit and local grocery stores.

Bieber Targeted in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Stratford-born superstar Justin Bieber was apparently in the crosshairs of a murder-for-hire plot.

Police in New Mexico say the 18-year-old phenom, along with his bodyguard and two others were targets in the foiled assassination.

But that's all they will confirm.

A New Mexico T-V station reports the plot was foiled after the would-be hit men were arrested last month in Vermont on outstanding warrants before the plan was put in motion.

Stratford Accelerator Centre Looks To Future

A new program at the University of Waterloo will be at the forefront of building our community's tech companies.

The Stratford Accelerator Centre was unveiled yesterday to a large crowd of business people and other residents.  The centre will be focused on helping build up local new and early-stage technology companies.

The Accelerator centre will open its doors in January.  Ten local companies have already applied for the program, and more are expected.

Dutchmen Down Stratford 5-1

The beat goes on for the Stratford Cullitons.

They lost 5-1 to the Kitchener Dutchmen Tuesday night.

Jared Culliton scored the lone goal for Stratford.

Nick Caldwell took the loss in net.

The Cullitons are next in action this Friday when they host the Guelph Hurricanes at 7:30pm.

1240 CJCS will carry the game live beginning at 7:25pm.

New Jobs Coming to Woodstock

There's some relief on the horizon in the job market.

North American Stamping group have announced their plans to open a new facility in Woodstock.

The 70,000 square foot factory will provide between 50 and 60 new jobs in the tool & die trade.
