The third meeting of the Stratford Accommodation Review Committee was held at Shakespeare Public School Thursday night.
This was the second ARC meeting to include a public input section, and it was reviewing boundaries for Bedford, Romeo, Shakespeare and Hamlet Public Schools because of the growth of French Immersion at Bedford.
Committee member Kathy Vassilakos of Bedford submitted a petition with 450 names supporting maintaining Bedford as a dual track school, which means both French & English are offered, and supporting the opening of a second dual track school to alleviate the pressure on student numbers.
The committee requested that board staff prepare a complete costing of adding Anne Hathaway as a dual track school, in addition to the dual track program at Bedford Public School and that that report e brought forward the next meeting of the ARC on December 8th.
