The Relay For Life at a New Location This Evening

In Stratford, the annual relay for life is getting ready to kick off this evening at its new location in the central flats. Many teams as well as hundreds of supports will gather to walk, remember and fight the battle of cancer. The popular luminary ceremony will be held at around 10pm, live entertainment goes until midnight, and participants will circle the track all through the night. A schedule of this evening's events is below:

 

8:00 – 11:00pm Massage available in the Survivor Tent (must sign up for appointments there)

8:50-9:50pm Band #3: Whoa! Miss MoJo!

9:05-9:20pm Exercises

with Chelsea Coghlin from Dance Aarts Academy. Learn effective stretches for post Relay! (In Fight Back Zone Tent)

9:50pm QUIET TIME -

Luminary Ceremony about to begin. 10:00 - 10:30pm Luminary Ceremony

Performances by Lea Keeley, Sara Brown &

Stratford Police Pipe & Drums

Prayer by Pastor Doug Reble and one minute of silence

10:45pm Sample Fruit Smoothies & get "Healthy Eating" tips

with Doug Zubernick, Executive Chef from River Garden Residence (In the Fight Back Zone Tent)

11:00pm Hawaiian Lap

Massage close at 11:00pm.

Fight Back Zone closes at 11:15pm

10:30- 11:15pm Spirit Cards: Activity

Committee Members and Spirit Team will be at the stage to sign off on Spirit Cards and will determine Spirit Award Winners 11:00 – 12:00am Band #4: The Shananigans

11:15pm Midnight snack is available in the Food Tent, Winners will be announced for:

Best Cheer/Spirit, Most Creative Team Name, Best Flag/Sign, Best Decorated Tent & Luminary Challenge 12:00am P.J. Parade Lap

1:00 – 2:00am "Lap Scrabble" Game

3:00 – 4:00am "Lap Poker" Game

3:30 – 5:00am

Quiet Time Saturday June 9th

6:00am Breakfast

6:00 – 6:05am

Trumpet Wake-up Call 6:30 – 7:00am CLOSING and FIGHT BACK CEREMONY

All pledge $$ needs to be handed in at Registration tent before 10:30pm. Team members are to hand money into Team

The "Spirit Team" will be going to each campsite to stamp Spirit Cards and judge for: Best Decorated Tent,

Best Cheer / Spirit and Best Team/Flag.

We'll also judge for Most Creative Team Name.

6:15pm – 7:00pm OPENING CEREMONY
