The backlash to VIA Rail service reductions has begun.
Local citizens have started a "Save VIA Train 86" page on Facebook to salvage the early morning ride to Toronto.
Train 89, the mid-day train from Toronto back to Stratford, is also slated for derailment at the end of October.
The service reductions are the result of federal budget cuts to VIA rail that have resulted in 200 jobs being cut and service reductions across the country.
