Playground Equipment Burned at Bedford School

A fire lit up the playground equipment behind Bedford School this morning.

At approximately 6:15am, the Stratford Police Service was dispatched to the scene at the request of the Fire Department.

The fire was extinguished but the playground equipment suffered extensive damage valued between $10,000 and $12,000.

Police are now investigating this fire as it appears to have been deliberately set.

Police have no suspect(s) at this time.

If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious between 5:00am & 6:00am Friday morning in the area of Bedford School, please contact the Stratford Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
