There was a robbery from a construction site on the Wildwood Dam.
The Perth County OPP was dispatched to the Highway 7 bridge construction site on Thursday.
Sometime between 5:45pm on Wednesday and 6:00am on Thursday, the sea container which was used to store tools and equipment was forced open.
The container is located on the west bound lane of the bridge between the two traffic control signals.
The culprits removed specialized tools from the locked container, placed them in wheelbarrows and pushed them to the west end of the dam where the items were loaded into a vehicle.
The thieves may have used tool belts and hard hats to disguise themselves as they made a number of trips back and forth from the container to their vehicle.
The stolen items include;
- 8 air powered rivet busters (used for bridge repair work)
- 2 air powered chipping guns
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
