Police Urge Local Residents to Prevent Break-Ins

E-mail Print PDF

The Perth County OPP reminds all citizens that break-ins often occur after the Christmas Holidays end and the Winter Holiday traveling season begins.

A sure fire way to prevent advertising what gifts you received is to ensure the boxes they came in are carefully packaged for disposal, not showing what the box contained and only left out just prior to garbage or recycling collection.

For those citizens leaving to warmer climates over the next several weeks, the OPP urges you to ensure that your home is secure.

Arrange for someone to look after it and ensure it has a "lived in" look.

Have someone keep your driveway clear of snow and gather up your newspapers and mail.

For more tips on crime prevention, go to the OPP's website.
